We are pleased and honored to be hosting the Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist (AYS) certification through The Himalayan Institute in 2017, led by Kathryn Templeton

After completing each of the 4 units and participating in optional Case Study sessions, you will have the knowledge and skill to create a specific dosha balancing yoga practice, use food with awareness, and create a basic lifestyle plan for yourself and for your clients based upon their needs and goals. You’ll be able to offer basic Ayurvedic consultations, "Ayurveda 101" programs, and you will have access to additional training and supervision from the Himalayan Institute Graduates Only case supervision sessions.

This program has been recognized and is listed with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) All dedicated yoga students and teachers are invited to take this training, but certification will only be given to students who have 200-hour yoga certification from an accredited school (YTT program).

Note: Sessions 1 to 3 can be taken as independent workshops and must be completed before registering for Unit 4. All four sessions are required for certification.

Dates and Details:

Session 1: The Macrocosm and Microcosm of Ayurveda and Yoga, at Samdhana-Karana Yoga on February 3-5, 2017

Session 2: Psychology of Ayurveda and the Physiology of Yoga, online, must be finished by March 10, 2017

Session 3: Improving our Digestion of Foods, Thoughts, and Actions, at Samdhana-Karana Yoga on April 21-23, 2017

Session 4: Clinical Use of Ayurveda and Yoga, at Samdhana-Karana Yoga on May 19-21, 2017

All sessions at Samdhana-Karana Yoga will be from 1pm to 8pm Friday and Saturday and 1pm to 7pm on Sunday. 

Program Cost:

• Individual Session Cost: $399 per session

• All 4 Sessions purchased together: $1396 (This is a savings of $200.)

Sold individually, the training is $1596. Tape bound unit booklets are included with the pricing above (one booklet for each session).

Students must purchase their own textbooks.

Session 2: Online, must be finished by March 10, 2017

Session 3: April 21-23, 2017 at Samdhana-Karana Yoga (and a local kitchen)
